This draft describes the implemented V1 data flows and needs owner review before public launch. The operator must add its legal identity, contact address, retention periods, hosting/email providers, applicable jurisdiction, and any region-specific rights process.
Accounts store an email address, password hash, public display name, optional avatar and biography, verification state, and authentication/session data. We store votes, follows, saved stories, reviews, comments, submissions, and moderation reports to provide the requested community features. Email addresses are not part of public profiles. Display names, avatars, and approved contributions can be public.
Session cookies keep you signed in. A local browser preference remembers your light or dark theme. This version includes no advertising or third-party analytics scripts. Necessary rate-limiting records use hashed identifiers and time buckets.
Newsletter signup records the supplied email, consent time, and subscription status. Newsletter email must include an unsubscribe link. Third-party YouTube media loads only after you choose to load it, using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player. External websites operate under their own policies.
Your Account includes a data export and account deletion request. An administrator must process deletion requests, remove private interaction records, and anonymize retained contributions according to the operator’s published retention policy. Contact the editorial desk for access, correction, deletion, or privacy questions.
