Independent Worlds. Shared Stories.

Community Guidelines

Keep ChronicleScape useful, welcoming and focused on independent games and their creators.

Updated: 16 October 2026.

Discuss the games; respect the people

Share firsthand experiences, practical questions and constructive criticism. Disagree with ideas without harassment, threats, discrimination, slurs, dogpiling, impersonation or exposing someone’s private information. Do not post spam, malicious files, unlawful material or content you lack permission to share.

Keep posts, uploads and linked material appropriate for a general game-discussion setting. Do not post sexually explicit material or graphic shock content.

No AI discourse

No AI discourse. Do not start or continue debates about whether AI is good or bad, pro- or anti-AI campaigns, or arguments over how other creators should work. These discussions rarely produce useful results and divide communities. Keep discussion focused on the game, firsthand experience and practical development. Relevant, verified facts about a game may be reported without opening a general AI debate. Send specific copyright, licensing or deception concerns privately through Report Content or the editorial desk; do not turn them into public accusation threads.

Honest participation

Do not buy, trade, automate or coordinate fake votes, ratings or poll responses. Do not create accounts to evade restrictions. Disclose when you are a developer, employee, affiliate, sponsor or otherwise connected to what you recommend. Do not submit fabricated testimonials or make unsupported allegations about another person.

Posts, moderation and linked communities

Comments and player reviews enter a moderation queue; new or edited content is not automatically public. Editors may decline, edit for presentation, restrict discussion, remove content or suspend participation for violations, legal concerns or abuse prevention. Reporting does not guarantee removal or a particular outcome.

The rules apply to contributions made on ChronicleScape. A listed Discord or other external community operates under its own rules; a directory link does not mean we operate or continuously supervise it. Report a problematic listing so we can assess it.

Raise concerns privately

Use Report Content for a specific post or listing, include its URL or ID and explain the issue. For account restrictions, mistaken moderation, copyright, privacy or an issue without a content ID, email the editorial desk. Do not repost removed material or start an accusation thread while a concern is considered. Contact the editorial desk at hello@chroniclescape.com. No account is needed to email us.
